Checks
1 Clear 'E000' (*), and turn ON the
power switch. Does the fixing heater
turn ON?
• Check by the eye. Be sure to turn
OFF the power switch immediately
after the check.
2 Open the front cover and the delivery
assembly to cool the fixing roller.
Close the delivery assembly and the
front cover; then, set the meter to the
5VDC range, and measure the
voltage between J2209A-9 (+: FRST)
and J2209A-10 (–; GND).
Likewise, measure the voltage
between J2209A-11 (+; FRST) and
J2209A-12 (–; GND).
Does the voltage decrease from
about 5 V gradually when the power
switch is turned ON?
• Turn OFF the power switch
immediately after the check.
3 Is the thermistor (THM1, THM2) in
even contact with the upper fixing
roller?
4 Clean the area where the thermistor
and the fixing roller are in contact. Is
the problem corrected?
5 Does the problem occur only when
the machine is turned on for the first
time in the morning?
6 Replace the thermistor. Is the prob-
lem corrected?
7 Replace the SSR. Is the problem
corrected?
