Is there paper or foreign matter on
the cleaning blade of the photosensi-
tive drum cleaner assembly?

Is there deformation or damage on
the edge of the cleaning blade?
Feel the edge of the cleaning blade
with a finger to check.

Are the vertical streaks rather wide
and fuzzy?
Does the waste toner screw rotate?
Is there a collection of waste toner in
the cleaning assembly?

Does the transfer blade have warp-
ing, bending, or a fault?

Check the developing assembly and
the developing cylinder for which the
problem is noted. Is there a fault?

Does the SALT sensor scoop-up
sheet have deformation or a fault?

matter, and clean the
cleaning blade and the
outside of the cleaner
assembly.
If deformation or damage
is found, remove the
cause, and replace the
cleaning blade.
See the description given
for the photosensitive
drum and the cleaning
blade.
Apply grease on the
cleaner drive shaft of the
photosensitive drum
cleaner assembly, and
remove the waste toner.
Replace the transfer
blade; if it is soiled with
toner, clean it.
Clean or replace it.
