SmartWare Software Configuration Guide
Otherwise, it is not possible for the gateway to provide the correct credentials to the server, when challenged.
The syntax of the new realm command is as follows:
Mode: gateway sip/service
Step
1
[ name ] (svc-sip)[<name>]# realm <realm-
name>
As a consequence, the realm needs no longer be defined in the authentication command. The new syntax of
the authentication command is as follows:
Mode: sip/service
Step
1
[ name ] (svc-sip)[<name>]# authentication
<username> password <password>
[default]
For simple configurations, it is now also possible to directly specify the password for authentication of users to
be registered directly with the user command, which defines the users to be registered. This password will then
not only be used for registration of the user, but also for authentication of calls, which are originated by that
user. The new syntax of the user command is as follows:
Mode: gateway sip/service
Step
1
[ name ] (svc-sip)[<name>]# user <name> [display-
name <display-name>] [phone-context <phone-
context>] [password <pasword>]
The following procedure guides through the steps required to configure a SIP gateway and SIP interfaces for
multiple services.

2
[ name ] (gw-sip)[<gw-name>]# bind interface <ip-if-
