Diagnostic LEDs on the JCS 1200 Platform

Use Table 24 on page 90 to find solutions to problems that are identified by LEDs
on the front and rear JCS 1200 system LED panels.

Table 24: Diagnostic LEDs on the JCS 1200 Platform

Lit LED
Cause
JCS 1200 System LED Panels
Power-on
Green indicates that power is present in the JCS 1200
platform. When this LED is off, the power subsystem,
the AC power source, or the LED has failed, or the
management module is not present or not
functioning.
CAUTION: If the power-on LED is off, it does not
mean that no electrical current is present in the
JCS 1200 platform. The LED might be burned out. To
remove all electrical current from the JCS 1200
platform, you must disconnect all power cords from
all power modules.
Location
Blue indicates that a condition has occurred in the
JCS 1200 platform that has caused the remote
systems management to identify the JCS 1200
platform as needing attention.
Critical system fault
When this LED is lit, the JCS 1200 platform has a
critical system fault. A critical system fault is an error
or event that is detected by the system and that has
a significant impact to the system. In this case, the
system cannot continue to operate or is operating in
a nonredundant power or cooling configuration.

Note that the JCS 1200 system-fault LEDs are lit on the media tray LED panel.
To identify the component that is causing the error, locate module that has a lit
error LED.
If the component is a module, replace the module.
