Installing Components in a Replacement JCS 1200 Chassis
To install a components in a replacement JCS 1200 chassis:

Installing Components in a Replacement JCS 1200 Chassis
Remove the upper and lower power boxes from the rear of the JCS 1200 chassis
(see "Removing a JCS 1200 Power Box" on page 134).
If you are instructed to return the chassis, follow all packaging instructions and
use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist and
connect the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
Install the upper and lower power boxes into the JCS 1200 chassis (see "Installing
a JCS 1200 Power Box" on page 136).
Install the fan shuttle into the JCS 1200 chassis (see "Installing a JCS 1200 Fan
Shuttle" on page 123).
Push the following components fully into the front of the JCS 1200 platform to
reengage the midplane:
Routing Engines: Slide each Routing Engine or filler into the bay; then push
the two release handles to the closed position (see "Installing a JCS 1200
Routing Engine" on page 141).
Media trays: Slide each media tray or filler into the JCS 1200 platform; then
push the release handle to the closed position (see "Installing a JCS 1200
Media Tray" on page 129).
Switch modules: Slide each switch module or filler into the JCS 1200 platform;
then push the release handle to the closed position (see "Installing a JCS 1200
Switch Module or Module Filler" on page 143).
Management modules: Slide each management module or filler into the
JCS 1200 platform; then push the release handle to the closed position (see
"Installing a JCS 1200 Management Module or Module Filler" on page 125).
Slide each power module or filler into the bay; then push the release handle to
the closed position (see "Installing a JCS 1200 Power Module" on page 139).
Reconnect the power to the JCS 1200 platform (see "Connecting the JCS 1200
AC Platform to AC Power" on page 62 or "Connecting the JCS 1200 DC Platform
to DC Power" on page 63).
Restart any Routing Engines that were powered off in the JCS 1200 platform
(see "Powering On a JCS 1200 Routing Engine" on page 73).
