JCS 1200 Routing Engine Control Panel Buttons and LEDs
Keyboard/video/mouse (KVM) select button—This button is not supported.
Media tray select button—Press this button to associate the shared media tray
(removable media drives and front panel USB ports) with the Routing Engine.
The LED on the button flashes while the request is being processed and then is
lit when ownership of the media tray has been transferred to the Routing Engine.
It can take approximately 20 seconds for the operating system in the Routing
Engine to recognize the media tray.
If there is no response when you press the media tray select button, you can use
the management module to determine whether local control has been enabled
on the Routing Engine.
Power-control button—Press this button to power on or power off the Routing
Engine.
LEDs—There are five LEDs that indicate the status of the Routing Engine.
Table 14 on page 26 describes the functions of these LEDs.

Description
There is activity on the hard disk drive or network.
Indicates mastership in a redundant Routing Engine pair.
A system error in the Routing Engine has been placed in the
management module event log. The information LED can be
turned off through the management module
A system error has occurred in the Routing Engine (blade). The
blade-error LED turns off only after the error is corrected.
The service processor (BMC) on the Routing Engine is
communicating with the management module.
The Routing Engine has power but is not turned on.
The Routing Engine has power and is turned on.
