Replacing a Terminal Server

There are no field serviceable parts on a Terminal server. Replace the whole unit.
1. Disconnect the cables from the Terminal Server. (Make a note of the configuration before
you unplug.)
2. Remove the retaining screws.
3. Slide a new unit into the rack and reuse the retaining screws.
4. Configure the new Terminal Server. Refer to

Replacing a Cooling Fan

Cooling Fans are hot-swappable. You do not need to shut the MPS system down to replace a fan.
1. Turn off the power to the fan.
2. Remove the fan and replace with a new unit.
3. Turn the power back on.

Replacing an Ethernet Switch

Ethernet Switches are hot-swappable. You do not need the shut the MPS system down.
