Netinstall Configuration Script

The netinstall script is provided to automate much of the configuration for both the /etc/hosts
and /etc/bootptab files.
Note:
You must be logged in as ROOT to execute this script.
Prior to running the netinstall script you must have the following information before you start:
• The Ethernet (MAC) address of each TMS and NIC card installed in the system. This
information is on a label affixed to the front sheet metal of each card.
• The assigned chassis number and VRC slot number for each TMS and NIC card installed in
the system.
Configuring the bootptab and hosts files using netinstall
1. Run netinstall. The following example provides the configuration of TMS1, 2, 3, 4, NIC1, and
NIC2. All are installed in VRC1 and connected to AP MPS1.
root@MPS1 {36} netinstall
