Note:
The MPS 1000 and the MPS Manager Server (workstation) are not always in the same
proximity and the MPS Manager workstations can be anywhere on the site network.
In some cases, the MPS Manager server needs to be accessed from other LAN devices that are
connected to the site network (this is different than locating the MPS Manager workstation on the
site network). In such cases, a separate MPS Manager workstation can be configured with a
separate network interface that is used as a gateway to the site network. This second network
interface is used to connect to the site network (and not the MPS 1000 LAN). The gateway MPS
Manager Server configuration is shown in the following illustration.
Note:
Note that the internally integrated MPS Manager system needs a second network port that can
be used for this type of site network connection (if required).
