mpsN/etc directory

$MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/ contains files specific to a single TMS (N specifies the specific component
number).
Key configuration files found in this directory include:
1. vmm-mmf.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/, loads MMF files during boot time. This file is
processed after vmm.cfg and contains options to activate MMF files, configure application
specific MMF files, and issue any other VMM commands that need to be executed each time
the system starts.
2. vmm.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/, is processed before vmm-mmf.cfg and sets options that
must not be changed after initialization is complete.
3. ccm_phoneline.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/, is used to configure run time parameters
relating to all phone lines in an MPS component. Line- specific configurations must be
performed in the application program.
4. ccm_admin.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/, is used to configure parameters for
administrative applications.
5. vos.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/ & $MPSHOME/tmscommN/etc, starts the processes
running in the MPS and tmscomm components. These processes include trip, tcad, vmm,
ccm, ccma, commgr, and vstat for MPS components, and ncd for tmscomm components.
6. commgr.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc/, defines configuration parameters for the COMMGR
process. Communications protocols and associated parameters are configured in this file.
7. ase.cfg, in $MPSHOME/mpsN/etc, starts processes that work with the application services
environment. These processes can include vmst and mxvmt or mpss.

mpsN/apps directory

This directory contains application specific files, which can include .vex (vengine executables)
and .acfg (application configuration files).

packages directory

The $MPSHOME/packages/ directory contains the individual software packages included as part of
the MPS distribution. Clean copies of all configuration files are also in this directory.
$MPSHOME/packages/tmsx.x.x/site-cfg contains a clean copy of the tms.cfg file.
• The base directory for Avaya Media Processing Server Series software is $MPSHOME.
• Clean copies of configuration files are stored in the packages directory.
