VRC Chassis Replacement

Caution:
Due to the size and weight of the VRC chassis, this procedure requires two service personnel.
Turn off all cabinet power to prevent falling hardware from causing electrical shorts.
1. Disconnect all external cables from the front and rear of VRC chassis and assemblies. Mark
these cables to guide you during reconnection.
2. Disconnect the power cords from the top of the VRC chassis.
3. Disconnect the two ribbon cables between the Front Control Panel and the VRC chassis.
4. Remove the Front Control Panel and Blank Panel as shown in the front view on
VRC Front View
5. Remove all NIC, TMS, power supplies, and other plug-in modules. Observe static
precautions.
6. From the rear of the cabinet, remove the six flat-head VRC chassis retaining screws.
7. Cut the small cable tie that secures the Fan Power Harness.
8. Reaching inside and down between the card guides, locate and remove the four Fan Bracket
Screws (two per bracket).
9. From the cabinet front, remove the four VRC Chassis Front Retaining Screws.
10. Remove the cable ties that secure the External Cables.
