Configuration

Application Support

1. The application assigned to a line uses an IP address to make an outbound call.
2. The IP address is specified in the application in place of the dialed number. The following
format must be used to specify this address:
I<port>,<Interface address>
where the port standard is 1720 and the Interface address is specified in dot notation.
3. When you originate a call from an RFC3261-compliant application on a networked PC, the
AP-to-TMS IP address is used.

Configuring the Terminal Server

Telnet Port Access

Access a device connected to any of the ASYNC Ports of the Terminal Server using a telnet
termserver port# session.
For example, telnet 10.7.200.50 2100 connects the telnet session to ASYNC Port 1 or MpsAp1 ttya
(LOM) port. The connection behaves as if the client telnet were a serial terminal connected directly
to the LOM port of the MPS 1000 Application Processor.
Connect the integral Ethernet connection for remote access, if required.
