Usage Guideline
The SNMP manager manages a SNMP agent by sending SNMP requests to agents and receiving SNMP
responses and notifications from agents. The SNMP server on the agent must be enabled before the
agent can be managed.
Example
This example shows how to enable the SNMP server.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# snmp-server
Switch(config)#

This command is used to configure the system contact information for the device. Use the no command
to remove the setting.
snmp-server contact TEXT

maximum length is 255 characters The syntax is a general string that
allows spaces.
