member to the VLAN.

Syntax
stack-unit [stack-unit number] module [module slot number] provision [module
type]
Use no stack-unit [stack-unit number] module [module slot number] provision to de-
provision.

This command is used to provision the switch to accept a particular type of module.

VLAN Stacking
Description
Introduced on the E-Series.
Introduced on the C-Series and S-Series.
vlan-stack compatible
— enables stackable VLAN on a VLAN.
Enter a stack member identifier of the switch that you want to add to the stack.
Enter the slot number of the module to identify the slot to be provisioned.
Enter the module type from one of the following:
QSFP+
QSFP28
QSFP28_4CXP
Description
Introduced on the S6100–ON
NOTE:

If a module is already inserted in a module slot, the module needs to be removed before de-provisioning
the module type on the slot.

If a slot is already provisioned for one type of module, you cannot insert another type of module into
the same slot without de-provisioning it.

If a module is removed, and the system is restarted, the interfaces for the module will not be created
unless the re-insertion of the module has been done again.

Logical interfaces are not created during provisioning. Interfaces would be created only on actual
module insertion.
reload
– reboot the Dell Networking OS.
