Read Pos Adj

A. Use
• To adjust the original read position.
• When the first/second carriage, the scanner wire, the scanner assy, the DF original
glass, and/or the glass step sheet have been replaced.
B. Procedure
(1) Auto Adjust
1. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
2. Touch [ADF] → [Read Pos Adj].
3. Touch [Auto Adjust].

7. Make sure that the result is OK.
8. Touch [END].
9. Touch [Exit] on the Service Mode screen.
10. Turn OFF the main power switch, wait for 10 sec., then turn the switch ON.
NOTE
If the result is Unable:
• Check that the chart is in the correct place.
• Make the manual adjustment on the [Read Pos Adj] screen.

4. Open the ADF.
5. Place the ADF reading chart [1] so
6. Press the Start key.
NOTE
• Be sure that the ADF reading chart
is in position.
• Keep the automatic document
feeder open while making the
adjustment.
