NetVanta 814 Description

The NetVanta 814 T1/E1 Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) is a Metro‐Ethernet Forum (MEF)
compliant, EFM bonded NTU designed for cost‐effective deployment of voice and data
services to small and medium size businesses supporting up to four four‐wire T1/E1 loops.
The NetVanta 814 accepts T1 or E1 network interfaces and delivers 10/100Base‐T Ethernet for
customer LAN extension. The NetVanta 814 terminates the T1/E1 loops in an RJ‐21 connector
and supports an aggregate data rate up to 6 Mbps (T1) or 8 Mbps (E1) over a single EFM
bonding group.

NetVanta 818 Description

The NetVanta 818 T1/E1 Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) is a MEF compliant, EFM bonded
NTU designed for cost‐effective deployment of voice and data services to small and medium
size businesses supporting up to eight four‐wire T1/E1 loops. The NetVanta 818 accepts T1 or
E1 network interfaces and delivers 10/100Base‐T Ethernet for customer LAN extension. The
NetVanta 818 terminates the T1/E1 loops in an RJ‐21 connector and supports an aggregate
data rate up to 12 Mbps (T1) or 16 Mbps (E1) over a single EFM bonding group.

NetVanta 838 Description

The NetVanta 838 SHDSL EFM is a Metro‐Ethernet Forum (MEF) compliant, EFM bonded
NTU designed for cost‐effective deployment of data services to small and medium size
businesses supporting up to eight two‐wire SHDSL loops. The NetVanta 838 accepts SHDSL
or eSHDSL and delivers 10/100Base‐T Ethernet for customer LAN extension. The NetVanta
838 terminates the SHDSL loops in an RJ‐21 connector and supports data rates from 192 kbps
to 5.7 Mbps per copper pair. The NetVanta 838 provides an aggregate data rate up to 45.6
Mbps over a single EFM bonding group.
