Enable Network Interfaces

To enable any SM Gigabit‐Ethernet ports:
1. From the Enable prompt, type configure terminal and press E
2. From the Global Configuration prompt, type interface gigabit-ethernet
3. From the Gigabit Ethernet Interface Configuration prompt, type no shutdown , and
4. Repeat steps 2 to 3 to enable additional gigabit‐ethernet interfaces
5. From the Gigabit Ethernet Interface Configuration prompt, type end , and press E

Create a Link Aggregation Group

To create a link aggregation group and assign physical interfaces, complete the following
procedure:
1. From the Enable prompt, type configure terminal and press E
2. From the Global Configuration prompt, type interface lag-group 1/A/1 , and press
3. From the Link Aggregation Group Interface Configuration prompt, type active-
4. From the Link Aggregation Group Interface Configuration prompt, type link
5. Repeat step 4 to add all needed interfaces to the group.
6. From the Link Aggregation Group Interface Configuration prompt, type no shutdown
7. From the Link Aggregation Group Interface Configuration prompt, type end and press
8. From the Enable prompt, type show lag-group 1 , and press E

Enable LACP

To enable LACP for all active gigabit‐ethernet ports, complete the following procedure:
1. From the Enable prompt, type configure terminal and press E
2. From the Global Configuration prompt, type interface gigabit-ethernet <1/
