Packet Ring (RPR) configuration.

Basic RPR Rules
When provisioning RPR, the following rules must apply:
• RPR Rings can originate from the COT Node or a RT Node. If the Ring originates at an RT
• Ring Speed is 2.5G with Add/Drop of 1G per span
• The same VLAN cannot be configured on Multiple nodes within a Ring. If done, the
• Ensure the S‐tag TPID in the Switch Module is set to 0x8100
• RPR is supported with a pair of cards in adjacent slots (odd/even pairs). Each card

node, then that RPR card must be configured as a Hub
Active RPR Line Module raises a VLAN Mis Config alarm on the COT Node
provides one of the Node's links on the ring
