Business Services Migration Overview

The Business Services Migration (BSM) application applies to legacy customer routers or
integrated access devices already using a variety of link layer protocols to carry IP traffic over
DS1. Figure 1‐2 displays legacy customer routers connected through a SONET and TDM infra‐
structure that can be migrated to an Ethernet infrastructure through the use of the Total
Access 5000.
Figure 1‐3 displays a mixed serives diagram of the BSM and EoCu applications.
