Central Office Terminal (COT) Provisioning

Provisioning the COT Node consists of setting the network ports on the COT GigE SM.
To set the network ports, complete the following:
1. From the Switch Module menu, select  Provisioning , and press  E
2. From the Provisioning menu, select  Network Ports , and press  E
3. From the Network Port 1 Provisioning menu, select Service State , and press  E
4. From the Network Port 1 Operation State menu, select  In Service , and press  E
5. Press  N  to move to the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu.
6. From the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu, select Service State , and press  E
7. From the Network Port 2 Operation State menu, select  In Service , and press  E
8. From the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu, select  Port Mode , and press  E
9. From the Port Mode menu, select  Downlink , and press  E

Remote Terminal (RT) Provisioning

Provisioning the RT Node consists of setting the network ports on the RT GigE SM.
To set the network ports, complete the following:
1. From the Switch Module menu, select  Provisioning , and press  E
2. From the Provisioning menu, select  Network Ports , and press  E
3. From the Network Port 1 Provisioning menu, select Service State , and press  E
4. From the Network Port 1 Operation State menu, select  In Service , and press  E
5. Press  N  to move to the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu.
6. From the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu, select Service State , and press  E
7. From the Network Port 2 Operation State menu, select  In Service , and press  E
8. From the Network Port 2 Provisioning menu, select  Port Mode , and press  E
9. From the Port Mode menu, select  Downlink , and press  E

This option enables provisioning of the service state of Net 1.
This option enables provisioning of the service state of Net 2.
This option enables provisioning of the service state of Net 1.
This option enables provisioning of the service state of Net 2.
