Used to download and install new firmware or a Switch configuration file from a
TFTP server.
download [firmware_fromTFTP <ipaddr> <path_filename 64>
{<path_filename 64>} | config_fromTFTP <ipaddr> <path_filename 64>
{<path_filename 64>}]
This command is used to download a new firmware or a Switch configuration file
from a TFTP server. The user now has the option of saving the firmware or
configuration file on the FLASH memory located in the Switch using the
previously allocated c:/ drive.
firmware_fromTFTP − Download and install new firmware on the Switch from a
TFTP server.
<ipaddr> − The IP address of the TFTP server.
<path_filename 64> − The DOS path and filename of the firmware file
on the TFTP server. For example, C:\3226S.had.
{<path_filename 64>} – The second path_filename in the command
refers to the FLASH memory located on the switch. This drive is
nominated c: and those who wish to save the firmware, instead of
uploading it directly to the NV-RAM must specify the path on the
FLASH memory to place this file (ex. c:/firm1). The filename cannot
