Removing the propeller shaft
housing assembly
1. Remove the water pipe 1 and shift rod
2.
2. Remove the bolts 3, ring 4, and bolts
5.
3. Remove the propeller shaft housing, and
then remove the propeller shaft.
NOTE:
Before removing the propeller shaft from the
lower case, remove the shift rod.

Disassembling the propeller shaft

1. Remove the spring 1, and then remove
the cross pin 2, dog clutch 3, shift
plunger 4, slider 5, and shift rod joint

Disassembling the propeller shaft
housing
1. Remove the reverse gear and reverse
gear shim(s).
