Caution
Do not use an alcohol-based coolant. Use only soft
(demineralized) water in the coolant mixture.
1. Measure the coolant temperature and the specific gravity
with a thermometer and a hydrometer.
2. Determine the coolant protection
by referring to the graph,
as shown.
3. If the coolant protection is not proper, add water or
coolant, as necessary.

Never remove the radiator cap while the engine
is hot.
Wrap a thick cloth around1 the cap when
loosening it.
Use caution when draining hot coolant.

Do not use recycled coolant.
