INSPECTION ACTION
1 Remove and inspect IP fuse 11.

Is fuse open?
- -
2 Remove instrument cluster.

lnspect 4WD high indicator lamp.
I Check resistance of bulb.
/
Is resistance between 3-8 ohms?
Yes Bulb OK, Go to step 3. If sent from step 5, Go to step 4.
Replace faulty bulb. Reinstall connectors and retest system
Clear all DTCs.
Reinstall instrument cluster.
Inspect instrument cluster ribbon for damage.
Replace as necessary.
Reconnect connectors.
Remove instrument cluster.
Gain access to GEM module.
Disconnect GEM module T-223
connector and instrument cluster
C-214 connector.
Check for continuity between GEM
connector T-223 connector pin 14 and
instrument cluster connector C-214
connector pin 14 circuit (GY).
Is continuity present?
Yes
Service circuit (GY) for open.
Reconnect connectors.
Clear all DTCs and retest system.
Yes

Instrument cluster C-124 connector
disconnected.
Key ON.
Check circuit (O/B) C-124 connector
pin 12 for battery voltage.
I
Is battery voltage present?
System OK.
Clear all DTCs and retest svstem.

Service circuit (OIB) for open.
Reinstall connectors.
Clear all DTCs and retest system.
Remove GEM module T-223 connector.
Key ON.
Check circuit (GY), C-214 connector
pin 14 for battery voltage.
Is battery voltage present?
Service circuit (GY) for battery short.
Reconnect connectors.
Clear all DTCs and retest svstem.
