C. Handling the Laser Assembly
Be sure to take extra care whenever servicing areas of the copier's laser assembly, as by
avoiding the insertion of any tool having a high reflectance.
Be sure also to remove any watches and rings. They can reflect the laser beam to damage your
eyes during work.
The copier's laser beam is a red light. Any covers that may reflect the laser beam bear a copy of
the label shown in Figure 1-603. Exercise particular caution whenever servicing inside such covers.
You will find the label on the copier's laser scanner covers from which laser
light can escape.
