7. Grid Test Print (PG>TYPE=6)
Use a grid test print to check color displacement, angles, straight lines.
a. Color Displacement
If color displacement is noted, suspect a fault on the transfer drum sheet.
Even if you notice color displacement on a test print, you may not find it on a regular copy
because of black text processing. The copier is normal if regular copies do not show color
displacement. Use test prints if regular copies show color displacement, as when finding out
the position of displacement and or when identifying the color.
b. Angles and Straight Lines
If faults are noted for right angles and straight lines, suspect displacement of the laser beam and
a fault in the beam detection mechanism.
