E. Hoppe Assembly

1. Opening the Hopper

1) Open the front cover.
2) Remove the two screws [1], and detach
the hopper stopper plate; then, open the
hopper fully.

2. Removing the Hopper Unit

1) Open the hopper.
2) Disconnect the two connectors [1] from
the bottom of the hopper unit, and remove
the wire saddle.
3) Hold the hopper unit as shown, and lift it.
If you are replacing the
developer at the same time
as replacing the hopper
unit with a new one, be
sure to perform the work in
II.F. "Supplying Starter"
of Chapter 11.
