To generate a flash signal for the service or system, press the Flash or Link
button twice. Pressing the Flash button once will put the caller on hold, but
the flash signal will not be sent to the telephone line. This prevents the
TalkSwitch system from hanging up on the caller. Pressing the Flash button
a second time will send a flash signal to the telephone line.
If your telephone does not have a Flash or Link button, you can generate a
flash signal by quickly pressing and releasing the telephone's hook switch.
If you need to send a flash signal to the telephone line, press and release the
hook switch once, count to two, and then press and release the hook switch
a second time. If you initiate the second flash signal too quickly, you will
disconnect your caller.

Services using Ringback Tones

The Ringback Tones service allows the caller to hear a tune or announcement
instead of the traditional ring back tone. This service is also known as
Colour-Me Tones. The use of this service is not recommended with TalkSwitch
remote extensions.
If the service cannot be deactivated, set the When a call is answered list to
play accept/reject prompt in the Answered tab of the remote extension's call
cascade. This setting allows the call to be handled correctly if the telephone
company plays a tune or announcement instead of a traditional ring back
tone.
