USING THE VOICEMAIL SYSTEM

The recording time for internal music on hold, voicemail, and the auto
attendants is two hours per TalkSwitch unit. You can expand the built-in
memory using memory cards.

Activating voice mailboxes

There are three types of voicemail.
Local Extension Voicemail
The local mailboxes are associated with local extensions. All local extensions
are activated with a respective mailbox by default. You can activate the
voicemail as an announcement only or you can deactivate it.
Remote Extension Voicemail
The remote mailboxes are associated with the remote extensions. If you
activate a remote extension, the mailbox is deactivated by default. You can
activate the voicemail as an announcement only.
General Voicemail
The general voice mailboxes are not associated with extensions. You can
activate the voicemail as an announcement only.
If you want incoming calls to go straight to a voice mailbox after a
specified number of rings, program an auto attendant to answer and
provide a fall through to voicemail.
Callers can reach voice mailboxes, call cascade, be transferred from a local
extension or have announcements played through the auto attendant.
