Making calls

Place intercom calls from a local extension to another extension

You can place an intercom call from a local extension to another local
extension, remote extension or ring group.
1. Pick up your extension's handset, and then dial the number of the
extension.
If the Intercom calls follow Cascade settings check box is selected in the
configuration, an intercom call will follow the call cascade of the dialed
extension. Otherwise the intercom call will ring continuously.
The dialedextension rings as follows:
A local extension uses two short rings to identify the intercom call. IP
phones supported by TalkSwitch can identify intercom calls this way.
A remote extension rings normally.
A ring group uses the ring pattern selected in the configuration. The ring
group uses the same ring pattern for intercom calls and outside calls.
