b) Set up the first alternative.
i) Select the action in the If extension is busy list. Choices are:
•
go to voice mailbox — Transfers the call to the selected voice
mailbox.
•
go to local ext. — Attempts to transfer the call to the
selected local extension.
•
go to remote ext. — Attempts to transfer the call to the
selected remote extension.
•
go to ring group — Attempts to transfer the call to the
selected ring group.
•
play announcement — Plays the selected announcement.
•
invoke Call Waiting — Notifies the user that a caller is
attempting to reach them.
•
go to auto attendant — Routes the call to the selected auto
attendant.
•
queue call — Transfers the call to the local extension's call
queue.
•
play busy tone — Plays a busy tone in the caller's phone.
•
hang up — Disconnects the telephone line.
•
go to VoIP location — Routes the call to the selected VoIP
number.
ii) Select the resource. Depending on the action, resources are voice
mailboxes, extensions, announcements, auto attendants, or VoIP
numbers.
c) If you selected an extension in the first alternative, set up the
second alternative.
i) Set the If busy or not answered list to the number of rings to try
the first alternative. Choices range from after 1 ring to after 9
rings.
ii) Set the action. Choices are:
•
go to voice mailbox
•
go to local ext.
