• Detect 2 tones — The TalkSwitch unit will route the call to the fax
machine if it detects two CNG tones. Select this if regular calls are
being routed to the fax machine.
7. The default IP Signalling Port is 5060. If required, enter a different port
number ranging from 1024 to 65535.
If your SIP server is at another location, and the SIP server uses an IP
signalling port other than 5060 (e.g. 5061), do not set IP Signalling Port
to that number. Instead, include the port number in the Proxy Server box
of the System Information > VoIP Configuration window (e.g.
222.234.432.234:5061).
8. The default Starting RTP Port is 6000. If required, enter a different port
number ranging from 1024 to 65535.
Each TalkSwitch unit with four VoIP lines requires four RTP ports. The
RTP ports are evenly numbered from the starting port as follows:
• TalkSwitch unit 1 — 6000 to 6006
• TalkSwitch unit 2 — 6010 to 6016
• TalkSwitch unit 3 — 6020 to 6026
• TalkSwitch unit 4 — 6030 to 6036
Each TalkSwitch unit with eight VoIP lines requires eight RTP ports. The
RTP ports are evenly numbered from the starting port as follows:
• TalkSwitch unit 1 — 6100 to 6114
• TalkSwitch unit 2 — 6200 to 6214
• TalkSwitch unit 3 — 6300 to 6314
• TalkSwitch unit 4 — 6400 to 6414
These are the RTP ports that the TalkSwitch system listens to: they are
not the ports it needs to communicate with at the other end.
9. If the SIP extension ports are in conflict, change the Starting SIP Port
and Starting RTP Port in the IP Extension Ports area.
10. If the HTTP access port is in conflict, change the HTTP Port in the HTTP
Access area.
