3. Attach the serial device cable.
See the instructions included with the serial device for detailed instructions on
connecting the cable to the device.
Plug the other end of the cable to the serial connector on the back of your
workstation, as shown in Figure 6-13.
4. Plug in the serial device's power cable (if any).
Plug the socket end of the power cable into the power connector on the back of
the serial device.
Plug the other end into a grounded three-pronged wall outlet or power strip.
