Replacing Removable Media Drives
The peripheral bay accepts two removable media devices: the DVD/CD-ROM drive and the
LS-240 floppy disk drive. Since these drives are not hot-swappable, the system must be powered
down and the power cords removed from the chassis before the drives can be serviced. The drives
are housed in carrier assemblies with metal shields to facilitate servicing and to reduce ESD and
EMI susceptibility.
