Line filters
Description
Line filters limit the conducted interference emissions from the converters to the permissible
limit values according to IEC 61800-3 Category C2.
Line filters are passive components used to expand the EMC properties of the servo drive
system.
Siemens recommends that you use a line filter to protect the system from high frequency
noise.
Note
For applications in European Union, UK, and Korea, the use of the recommended line filters is
mandatory to fulfill the local EMC directives.
Note
The maximum length of the cable used to connect the line filter to the converter is 3 m.
