10.6 Resonance suppression
Resonance suppression with manual tuning
When resonance suppression with autotuning cannot reach the suppression effect, you can
proceed as follows to suppress the resonance manually:
1. Activate the current setpoint filters that you want to use (p1656[0].0...3).
2. For the activated current setpoint filters, parameterize the following values:
– Type: general 2nd order filter
– Denominator natural frequency
– Denominator damping
– Numerator natural frequency
– Numerator damping
Note
Assume the notch frequency is f
parameters can be calculated as follows:
• Denominator natural frequency = Numerator natural frequency = f
• Denominator damping = f
• Numerator damping = (f
