Compressor - Install (E.40.D.31 - F.10.A.15)
AFX8010
1. Set the compressor (1) on its mount and secure
into place using four cap screws (2) . Replace the
O-rings and lubricate them with PAG oil.
2. Connect the refrigerant suction and discharge lines,
and torque the tube nuts.
3. Attach the clutch electrical connector.
4. Insert a long handle 1/2" drive breaker bar into the
idler pulley bracket and rotate it enough to route
the belt around the pulley.
NOTE: Be sure belt is seated onto the pulley grooves
correctly, or else when tension is applied belt stretch can
occur causing premature failure of the belt.
5. Recharge the refrigerant system in accordance with
the SAE recharge/refilling procedure.
