8. Remove the retaining ring (1) from behind the
bearing.
9. On the straight through input shaft you must remove
the oil seals on both sides using a seal puller.
NOTE: The seals will need to be replaced. Do not try to
reuse the removed seals or leakage could occur causing
gearbox damage and failure.
10. Behind the seals (1) remove the snap ring (2) and
shims from both ends of the shaft.
11. Note to keep track of the number of shims (1) and
the orientation of where you removed them.
