Component location: Transmission
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) (arrow)is
located on top of transmission.
Recommended special tools and
equipment
V.A.G1331 torque wrench (5 to 50
Nm)
Removing
- Disconnect white connector from
Transmission Vehicle Speed Sensor
(VSS) -G38-.
- Remove bolt and remove sensor.
- Replace O-ring.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse
order of removal.
- Tighten bolt to 10 Nm.
