Engine Control Module (ECM), replacing
Requirement
Ignition switched off.
Removing
- Disengage connector from control module and
then disconnect it.
- Remove control module.
Installing
- Insert new control module into mounting plate.
- Install connector from control module and
engage.
Note:
The great availability of equipment options
makes it necessary to adapt the Engine Control
Module (ECM) to the vehicle (e.g. throttle valve
control module or cruise control system). This
"writing" function is not possible with the generic
scan tool.
