Components of engine, checking

Ground (GND) connections between
engine, transmission and chassis must be
OK.
For vehicles with automatic transmission,
selector lever must be in -P-.
Throttle valve must not be damaged or
dirty.
Throttle valve must be in Closed Throttle
Position (CTP).
Adjustment of accelerator pedal cable
must be OK Page 20-37
accelerator pedal cable.
Coolant temperature must be at least
80 C Page ST-15
1: Check measured values; PID 5,
