The first, or top portion, is general patient data that was entered
on the patient entry menu at the beginning of the exam. This
area cannot be edited.
The second is the measurements area. There are 3 fields for
volume measurements. The first, second and third volume
measurements taken are recorded as Volume #1, Volume #2
and Volume #3, respectively. If the volume measurements
were performed by STVOL, "STVOL" is displayed.
The system stores the 3 most recent volume measurements. If
a fourth measurement is made, Volume #1 is erased. Volume
#2 becomes #1. Volume #3 becomes #2 and the fourth
measurement is Volume #3. The very first measurement is lost.
Comments, pertinent for that specific volume measurement,
may be added to the right of the volume measurement.
The third area is for Lesion Sites. A description can be input
(maximum 20 characters each) for each lesion site. To indicate
whether the lesion site was biopsied, select "Y" for yes or "N"
for no.
The fourth area is for calculations. The PAP (Prostatic Acid
Phosphatese concentration) and PSA (Prostatic Specific
Antigen concentration) need to be input.
The PSAD is automatically calculated once the single digit field
following the words "BASED ON VOLUME" is entered (1, 2, or
3). This represents which volume measurement (corresponding
to the entire gland) should be used to compute PSAD. The
calculation is dependent on the default selected in the "PSA
Calculation" preset found on Set Up/System Parameters page 3.
The DRE (Digital Rectal Exam) result are input below the PPSA
calculations. Any other exam which is desired to be reported
can be input under DRE.
The fifth area is for comments and findings.
