Observations can be noted for each vein for both the left and right
sides. The first section of observations denotes compressability
(Comp?) of the vein. The user can note if compression could be
accomplished on the vein by designating one of the following:

P

Partial
In the second part, the user can comment on observations
made during the Doppler study. The user can select one or
more of the following designations:
Sp
=
Spontaneous
Ag
=
Augmented
Ph
=
Phasicity
Rf
=
Reflux
Cn
=
Continuous
Pl
=
Pulsatility
In order to select abbreviations on this comment page:
S
Move the highlight cursor to the desired abbreviation and
press Set.
S
The abbreviation will be enclosed by brackets "< >".
S
To cancel the brackets, move the highlight cursor to the
bracketed abbreviation and press Set.
S
The brackets are deleted.
General Comments can be written at the bottom of each
Vascular Report page. The comments are separate for each
page. Individual notes can be entered on each one.
Advanced Vascular
Indicates the vein is easily
imaged without aids.
Velocity signal achieved by
distal limb compression or
release of proximal limb
compression.
Indicates the waxing and
waning of the velocity signal
with respiration.
Indicates reverse or backward
venous flow was observed.
Indicates no change in velocity
signal after compression.
Indicates the vein responds to
the cardiac cycle and not to the
respiratory cycle.
