Symptom/Possible Cause
The selected data have different
properties (measurement type,
measurement area, SCI/SCE setting,
linked target).
Amount of light from the xenon
lamp has dropped to 50% of its
initial level.
• Deterioration of xenon lamp
• Dirt on integrating sphere
Since a certain period of time has
passed since the instrument was last
calibrated, recalibration is
recommended.
It is necessary to input data for user
calibration to the instrument before
setting calibration data to user
calibration data.
White calibration (100% calibration)
or user calibration has not been
performed yet after the power was
switched on.
It is necessary to restart the
instrument.
• Memory error or incorrect clock
• Executing initialization
Munsell (D65) is selected as the
color space and the observer is not
set to 2° and/or Illuminant1 is not set
to D65.
Munsell (C) is selected as the color
space and the observer is not set to
2° and/or Illuminant1 is not set to C.
The instrument is connected to a
computer and in communication
mode, and an instrument key was
pressed.
The key which was pressed was
locked by unchecking its checkbox
in the System tab of the Standalone
Configuration dialog when the
instrument was used with
SpectraMagic NX.
The connected USB memory device
has insufficient remaining available
space.
Corrective Action
Select only data having the same properties
(measurement type, measurement area, SCI/SCE
setting, linked target).
Clean the integrating sphere as explained in
"Cleaning Parts" on page 17. If the problem still
remains, contact a KONICA MINOLTA-
authorized service facility.
For recalibration service, contact a KONICA
MINOLTA-authorized service facility.
This message display can be set to be hidden. For
the setting procedure, refer to page 153 "Annual
Service Recalibration Recommendation Message".
To perform user calibration, you need to input the
user calibration data to the instrument's memory
by connecting the instrument with computer and
using the optional software before setting
calibration data to user calibration data. For details
of the procedure, read the software manual.
In order to ensure the reliability of white calibration
(100% calibration), it is recommended to perform
white calibration (100% calibration) or user
calibration every time the instrument is turned ON
or the measuring environment has changed.
Turn the power OFF, and then turn it ON again.
Set observer to 2° and Illuminant1 to D65.
Set observer to 2° and Illuminant1 to C.
The instrument keyboard cannot be operated
while the instrument is connected to a computer.
To operate keyboard keys, disconnect the
instrument from the computer.
Use SpectraMagic NX to unlock the key by
connecting the instrument and checking its
checkbox in the System tab of the Standalone
Configuration.
Use a USB memory device with sufficient
available space.
