Installer Menu Options
As Partition 1
Settle Time
Note: This option is available for Final Door Set. Lock Set and Exit Terminate exit modes
only.
This option allows you to define a time delay to allow detectors to settle before the
system sets. This may be needed if detectors are being set off by air movements
caused by the final door being closed. During this period, the sounders stop and the
control unit ignores any alarms generated by the detectors.
Enter two digits to specify a time in seconds, from 01 to 30.
The default settle time is set to 15 seconds to allow radio PIRs used on entry routes
time to send all the transmissions required to indicated that they are settled.
Exit Time
Note: This option is available for Timed Set and Silent Set exit modes only.
The exit time can take any value between 10s and 120s.
Entry Time/Part Set Entry Time
The entry time can take any value between 10s and 120s. The entry time you select
in this option applies to Full set and all Part Sets.
Alarm Response/Part Set Alarm Response
You can select one of the following:
Internal:
Siren
Siren + Comms
HUA Response
(This option appears at this point in the menu in a partitioned system, once for each
partition. For a part set system this option appears under System Options, see page
99.) During a HUA alarm the control unit starts communications (provided you have a
communication module fitted and enabled, or the communications outputs wired to
an appropriate communicator and correctly programmed). This option controls the
associated audible alarm.

Unsetting: To unset the partition the user can either:
a) Present their prox tag to an external prox tag
reader, or:
b) Use the unset button on their remote control, or:
c) Open a Final Exit zone allocated to the partition (to
start an entry timer) and then key in their access code
or present a prox tag to a keypad.
Note: Method c) does not comply with BS8243 clause 6.4.
This option appears for all Partitions except Partition 1. If you
select this option then the ward will use the same exit mode as
Partition 1.
Keypads and loudspeakers.
Keypads, loudspeakers and siren.
Keypads, loudspeakers, siren and
communication. Note that any Siren Delay
(see page 81) applies to "Siren+Comms", but
not "Internal" or "Siren" alarm responses.
As well as starting communications the control unit starts HUA
alarm tones from the keypads and loudspeakers, and activates any
siren outputs. The sirens follow the Siren Time (see page 81). The
loudspeakers operate until a user silences the alarm.
