Exit Terminate
Logs the opening of the Lock Set zone
Converts any zone originally programmed as Final
Exit back to Final Exit, so that the entry time will
start when the user opens the entry door.
Starts a warning tone (distinct from the entry tone).
If the user activates the Lock Set zone again without
starting the Entry Timer then the control unit will
change all Final Exit zones back into Normal Alarm
zones and stop the warning tone.
Notes: If you select Lock Set as the exit mode then to
comply with BS8243 you must set "After entry"
to "Never" in order to disable confirmation (see
page 91).
Setting: To set the system a user must first start the
setting sequence and then complete setting once they
have left the protected area.
To start the setting sequence a user can do one of the
following:
a) Key in an access code
b) Present a prox tag at a keypad
c) Press Set on a remote control.
(See Note below about using the FOB-2W-4B in this
application.)
A user can complete setting in one of two ways:
a) Activate an Exit Terminate zone (see page 49)
b) Present their prox tag to a KEY-EP external prox
tag reader connected to a suitable keypad, (either a
KEY-KP01 or KEY-KPZ01).
When the user starts the setting sequence the exit
time is indefinite, and carries on until the user
completes the setting sequence. The control unit logs
the start of the exit and during exit the control unit
gives the exit tone for the selected partition(s).
Once the user completes the setting sequence the
control unit sets the system when the Settle Time
expires. The control unit also starts the settle time (if
specified, see page 80) at the end of which any PIR
zones become armed.
Note: Using a FOB-2W-4B. By default a FOB-2W-4B
Set button is programmed to instant set its
assigned partition, regardless of the exit mode
chosen in the Installer Menu. To program the
FOB-2W-4B to follow the exit mode
programmed by the Installer Menu set the
System Options – User access – 2W Set Instant
option to NO. See page 88.
