Notes:
1. You cannot apply the Inverted and the Masking attributes at the same time.
2. The Inverted attribute does not apply to radio zones.
3. If an i-on16 is fitted with a keypad with zones then this attribute will be available.
Shock
(This attribute is available only on the i-on160EXEUR for wired zones connected
directly to the control unit.)
Apply this attribute to zones connected to shock sensor detectors (see Note below).
The zones must have type NA (Normal Alarm). When you assign the shock sensor
attribute the control unit makes a new menu option available: Sensitivity. The new
option appears after the Attributes option for each shock sensor zone.
For shock sensors the sensitivity number specifies the strength of the impact felt by
the detector. 1 is a low impact, 25 is a large impact. See page 130 for details of
testing sock sensor zones.
NOTE: You must connect shock sensors to the zone terminals on the control unit. Do not
connect them to wired expanders. In addition, you must program the control unit
zones' wiring type as 2-wire FSL, with 2k2/4k7 resistors.
Roller Shutter
(This attribute is available only on the i-on160EXEUR, for wired zone connected
directly to the control unit.)
Apply this attribute to zones connected to roller shutter movement detectors (see
Note below). When you assign the roller shutter attribute the control unit makes a
new menu option available: Sensitivity. The new option appears after the Attributes
option for each roller shutter zone.
For a roller shutter the sensitivity setting can take any number between 1 and 25. For
roller shutters the sensitivity number specifies the number of clicks occurring within
20s when the string is pulled out of the sensor. For example, if you select a value of
"6", and if six clicks occur within any 20s period, then the control unit will start an
alarm. Note that the distance that the string can be pulled out on the sensor depends
on the model of roller shutter sensor. See page 130 for details of testing roller shutter
zones.
You can apply this attribute to Normal Alarm zones only.
NOTE: You must connect roller shutter detectors to the zone terminals on the control unit.
Do not connect them to wired expanders. In addition, you must program the control
unit zones' wiring type as 2-wire FSL, with 2k2/4k7 resistors.
Reset
This attribute is available on Normal Alarm or Entry Route zones only. Enable this
attribute if you have connected a latching type of shock or vibration sensor to a zone.
You will also need to program an output with the type "Shock Sensor Reset".
The control unit then ignores the zone during setting while the "Shock Sensor Reset"
output is active, and for an extra three seconds after the output restores.
Important! In order to comply with BS8243 do not use Instant Set. To comply with
EN50131 do not set the exit time shorter than 10 seconds. This allows detectors to
reset correctly and avoids the possibility that the control unit will isolate a zone that
has not reset.
If the exit time is less than 10 seconds and the detector does not successfully reset
(it remains in an active state) then the control unit will not add the detector back to
the system until detector becomes inactive. This is to prevent false alarms.
