i-on Range
Figure 8 shows the zone numbering when an EXP-R30 forms part of the system.
In the i-on160EX and i-on50EX the EXP-R30 takes three consecutive bus device
addresses, and the zone numbers occupy a contiguous block of 30. In an i-on30EX the
EXP-R30 takes two consecutive bus device addresses, and the zone numbers occupy a
contiguous block of 20.

Adding/Removing Expanders and Zone Numbering

At some point after the initial installation you may wish to replace one of the expanders:
You can replace an EXP-R30 with up to three EXP-R10 or EXP-W10 expanders. The
control unit will use the three bus device numbers that were allocated to the EXP-R30.
If you wish to add an EXP-R30 but there are not three spare device numbers next to
each other, then the control unit will not let you add the device.

Zone 000

Connection point PAN<Z00 (the first zone terminal on the control unit PCB) is available for
use as a valid zone. However, please note that SIA cannot report any alarms on zone 000.
Eaton's Security Business suggests that you might find this zone useful as a Log Only
zone.
