3. The Master User can enable or disable HUD functions for the FOB-2W-4B and
727r by using the option "User Menu – System Config – Remotes – HUA Function".
There are two options available to control sounders and siren:
Sounder on
Unconfirm When the system is set the control unit activates the internal sounders
when an unconfirmed alarm occurs.
Confirm When the system is set the control unit does not activate the internal
sounders until a confirmed alarm occurs.
Note: The control unit will not allow you to select "Sounder on - Confirm" at the same time
as "Siren on - Unconfirm".
Siren on
Unconfirm The control unit operates the siren for all alarms (and overrides any Siren
Delay).
Confirm When the system is set the control unit does not activate the siren(s) until
a confirmed alarm occurs.
Note: The control unit will not allow you to select "Siren on - Unconfirm" at the same time
as "Sounder on - Confirm".

Confirmation (UK Variants)

Confirmation Mode
If you are installing a UK version of the control unit then the Confirmation Mode option
allows installers to program a control unit for operation under either DD243 or BS8243.
There are three options:

1. Confirmation works only when the Alarm Response is set to "Siren+Comms" (see
page 80).
2. The Master User can enable or disable HUD functions for the FOB-2W-4B and
727r by using the option "User Menu – System Config – Remotes – HUA Function".
Basic If you select this option then the control unit will activate any output
programmed as "Confirmed Alarm" if a second zone is activated while the
system is in alarm. The second zone must belong to the partition that is in
alarm. The installer can also select whether to allow users to reset the
system after a zone alarm, see page 88.
In addition, when Confirmation Mode = "Basic", the Master User can enable
or disable HUD functions for all FOB-2W-4Bs and 727rs by using the option
"User Menu – System Config – Remotes – HUA Function".
Note: Confirmed Hold Up Alarm is not available in Basic Confirmation Mode.
DD243 If you select this option then the control unit reveals sub menus required to
program the system to conform to DD243: Siren On, Sounder On,
Confirmation Time, After Entry, Entry Keypad Lock, Unconfirmed Reset,
Confirmed Reset. The rest of this section describes each of these sub-
menus.
Note: When using Confirmation, and the system is programmed for Installer

Reset after an alarm, the user cannot set the system after an alarm
until the installer has carried out a reset.
