Installer Menu Options
This zone type is not available for radio zones.
External PSU Fault – PF (14)
Use this zone type to monitor the fault output of an external PSU. (This zone type is
available for power supplies that do not provide specific fault outputs that can be
used by zone types 11, 12 and 13.) If a power supply triggers a zone with this type
then the control unit activates any output programmed as "External PSU Fault" and
causes an alert that displays "External power fault" on the keypad.
If the alarm system is set then the control unit logs the event, starts any programmed
communication, but does not start an alert until the system is unset.
This zone type is not available for radio zones.
External Warning Device Fault – WD (15)
Note: This zone type is also available on an i-on16 when fitted with a keypad with
zones.
Use this zone type to monitor the tamper switch of an external warning device. (This
zone type is available for warning devices that do not provide a Tamper Return.) If a
warning device triggers a zone with this type then the control unit causes an alert that
displays "Ext WD Fault" on the keypad.
In a Grade 2 system a user can override this fault and set the system. In a Grade 3
system a user cannot override this fault.
If the alarm system is set then the control unit logs the event, starts any programmed
communication, but does not start an alert until the system is unset.
Once the zone is restored, in a Grade 2 system a user can clear the alert by pressing
 and entering their access code. In a Grade 3 system, the installer must enter the
Installer Menu and leave it again to clear the alert.
This zone type is not available for radio zones.
Hold Up Device Fault – HUD (16)
Note: This zone type is also available on an i-on16 when fitted with a keypad with
zones.
Use this zone type to monitor the "fault" output of wired hold up devices that are
capable or reporting faults. If a HUD triggers a zone with this type then the control
unit causes an alert that displays "HUD Fault" on the keypad. If a user tries to set the
system when this zone is active then the control unit displays the fault on the keypad.
The user can override the fault and carry on setting.
Log Only – LO (17)
When a detector triggers a zone with this type the control unit logs the event and
activates any outputs that are programmed to follow this zone. The zone is active
whether the system is set or unset. Typical uses for this zone type are for integrating
the alarm system with a CCTV system.
Note: Zone Follow outputs will activate on both Alarm and Tamper of a Log Only zone.
